I've never been very successful at the whole blogging thing. I've tried to be too limited in my idea of what I want it to be: comic reviews, funny, art-centric, and then I get bored and it becomes like a job. But it seems dumb in retrospect to limit myself, why not just post whatever I feel like posting?

The other motivator now is that I want a place to post my art that isn't DeviantArt, because I am just done with that whole scene. At the end of the day, I like drawing curvy cartoon girls, so I'm not painting the Sistine Chapel and I don't know how to say what I'm trying to without sounding like a snob. I've met great folks on there, and I love that, but there's also a lot of drama and irritation, and unfortunately, too often I've found interaction to be less than constructive or even pleasant.
In any case, I just don't need what DeviantArt used to offer me anymore, views, validation, whatever. I'll still post there as well, but as a secondary place to find my art instead of the primary.
First posts are always lame and I was going to try to avoid one, and just dive in, but it's like I couldn't help myself.
I'm so glad you started a new blog! It's nice to see what you're up to with your art and it's great to be able to leave a thoughtful comment longer than 140 characters. Welcome back.
